Internet Connection Problems...?
I have an internet connection problem on my Windows Vista. It has something to do with firewall or internet security ( that's all I know ).

The problem is, the computer says that the internet is connected, but when I go on Internet Explorer, it says that it can't display page. I diagnose problem, and it says something about:

SymNetDrv Firewall Filter INBOUND_TRANSPORT_V4

and now, after I tampered with somethings, it says I am working offline even after I uncheck the offline thing. What do I do to fix this?

Try closing your firewall and internet security. If you can go into explorer, then try to narrow down the programme and don't use it. You can also try configuring your firewall although I don't use Norton Firewall so I cannot off any help on that.

Alternatively if it is not a problem with your firewall or internet security, then try going to tools>internet options>connections>lan settings. Enter your IP address and press OK. IP adress can be found out by right clicking your LAN or wireless setting/

You have not mention here what types of net connection you are using?
if you are using DHCP server netwrking or Dial-up net connection than go to internet explorer >>>>tools >>>>internet optons>>>>advanced>>>>check on ssl and tsl seettings. Sure that your browser support your security term
Use another web browser if internet explorer creating problem. like mozilla firefox, netscape

If you are using DNS networking than sure that your DNS and default getaways is working properly.
to find out
go to control panel>>>> network and internet connection>>>local area connection (or your net connection) right click>>> properties>>>> there some no. will appear like 192.168.1.125 etc.
go to run type
ping 192.168.1.125 (type here your Default getaways)
ping 202.166.62.154 (your primary getaway)
ping 202.166.62.155 (your primary getaway)

if any gives request time out. net will unstable. contact network administrator.
