Question about uTorrent downloader?

Question about uTorrent downloader?
So, I have a 50Mb download speed through my provider. I have done speed tests and everything seems good on my speeds. I use uTorrent as a client and I have ALL download settings set to "unlimited".

I have 4 torrents ready for downloading using uTorrent. I have the first torrent going and it is downloading at about 3Mb/s and going steady. So I decide to start the others. Immediately, the speed of the first torrent slows down drastically as the other torrents start to build up their speed. As if the torrents have to share the 3Mb/s bandwidth.

So, my question is, why is this happening? If I do indeed have a 50Mb download speed through my provider, and the speed tests back this up, is there something on the uTorrent settings that is forcing the bandwidth way down? Am i overlooking something, or is this just the way things work?

Thanks!
********EDITED********

Thank you for your response Prince. My big question is, why does the first torrent slow down ONLY when I start other torrents? If I have a 6(ish) mega byte download speed, shouldn't the first torrent be unaffected by the start of the other torrents since it was only downloading at 3 mega bytes?

You have a 50 mega bit per second speed.
50 mega bit=6.4 mega byte.
Download rate and connection speed are messure in different units.
Torrent download is also a slow process. Thats why you are not getting the speed of 6mbps.

No. A lot of people misunderstand and assume that if your connection speed is 50Mb/s or whatever it may be that if you start downloading only ONE thing on Utorrent or whichever you decide to use means that you will be able to download that file at 50Mb/s or whatever your connection is. The download and upload speeds you experience while downloading files using utorrent are VERY MUCH effected by what the seed/leach ratio is of the file first of all. This is also assuming your internet provider speed is good (In this case your internet connection is decent @ 50Mb/s). You will experience a higher transfer rate/speed if the file has a good seed/leach ration. I like 2:1 ratio. Basically means more people are sharing(Seeding) then are trying to get it(Leaching). Also one reason why if you are downloading a file at its going steady @ 2Mb/s then you choose to start to download another file and the 2Mb/s file starts to drop that's because of 1 of 2 reasons. #1. New files start quick and in a way (Are in a hurry) then utorrent or whichever programs will try and equal them out because the download priorities are set the same. But one may still download a little faster or slower as well again because of the seeding/leaching ratio. Also the download speed is hugely based on how many people are SHARING that file. It is also effected by what THERE(SEEDERS) upload speed is because they are UPLOADING THE FILE TO SEED/SHARE IT. If you want more of your bandwidth dedicated to a specific file download all you have to do is right-click on the file downloading and change the bandwidth priority from "NORMAL" to "HIGH". When you do that Utorrent will dedicate more of your internet bandwidth to download that file quicker.

Hope this answer was able to answer some of those questions. Please give it a thumbs up if it was helpful at all.

Hello, your download speeds not only depend on your end which is capable of downloading at 50 Megabits / 8 = 6.25 Megabytes/Second but also on the other end (the host server or seeders which are hosting/providing the content). Therefore, regardless if you have fast download speeds or not, there might not be enough seeders which results in a very low upload speed which leads to a low download speed for you.
Hope this helps.
