Broaden it to internet addiction and it should be easy, if you can. Facebook addiction is such a narrow cross section of internet addiction that it might be hard to do a thesis on.

Our english teacher has us use a basic thesis formula, it depends on your stance. If for example, your paper is about how facebook has become an addiction for people and it needs to be addressed, you can say "The creation of social networking websites such has facebook has allowed for people to develop an unhealthy habit, much like an addiction, this is a growing problem that must be addressed"
