How to add like button on facebook page?

I created a facebook page, but I'm not sure how to add the like button. I entered the url and got a code. now what do I do with the code?

Shouldn't the like button already be on facebook?

Okay, before you download a virus to your computer... There's no download for the "like" button. When you're looking at someone's status or comment, there's an option under the comment that says "like". All you do is click on that.

If you don't have the like button then you didn't still create a Facebook page. Maybe what you created is an account, which is not bad, because it's a necessary step in order to create a page.
