How do I talk to a guy that I've never talked to before?

So I really like this guy we are both 20 years old. He sits next to me in one of my classes and I kinda fell in love with his personality based on what I've seen so far and I really want to get to know him more. The was he looks is so cute! It's definitely the look I go for! He's also kinda funny to me! The only thing he's ever said to me was "nice catch!" When he dropped his pen and it fell in my bag lol! That doesn't say much about if he likes me in anyway but it made me laugh! And he just an all around great guy from what I see... I never really talked to him but I want to! His twitter came up under "people also like...." When I followed one of my friends... I was gunna follow him on twitter but I don't want it to be awkward... And I'm really shy so it's not like me to just go up to a guy I like and start talking to him!...What should I do? Forget about him or try something? No sarcastic answers please!!

don't forget about him it sounds like this is an awesome guy who would be worth making friends with. start slow. say hey to him every day. start up random little conversations with him about little things; what he's doing that day, how he's doing, his hobbies, etc. the conversations will eventually start to get bigger, and you'll probably become friends. you can take it from there good luck!!

Try something. If you have friends that are more outgoing talk to him when they are around. Or just ask him questions about what you are learning and he will hopefully open up more! Good luck!!

Well, this is a pretty regular problem. If you are shy and are scared to death to just talk to him casually, I guess the only chance is that he talks to you and eventually ask you out. If he is also shy you both are screwed.

I would suggest you just start talking to him. Anything random will do. Hopefully the conversation picks up by itself and you will have a good time. Another suggestion is to try to get a mutual friend set you up or use something like 2kuut.com

Before the next class, ask him if he would like to borrow your pen. He will say, why would I want to borrow your pen when I have one. You say, yes but mine has my phone number in it. He will get a kick out of it.
