Why do you think Facebook is losing so many customers?

This isnt a debate about whether or not they are, because they are. Its new members are from countries that are just getting onboard with FB. And even people who are subscribed to it arent using it. I used to get on all the time and there would be heaps of people to talk to, now there is 1 or 2 at a time. Obviously, FB are panicking and pushing the sharemarket thing to its max.

Do you think they are dying because:
1. usual .com fad in a fickle market
2. the fact they use your personal info for marketing
3. people realise that finding out that their friends just cooked dinner or went out for a walk isnt that interesting
4. Timeline
5. it really is a boring site

I don't know about everyone else, but here is what I think are the big issues with facebook.

1. Too many status updates by so called "friends"
2. Privacy issues
3. Becoming too mainstream

I feel bad for myspace! I went on today and I wanted to cry it was just so sad no one is on there lol

people arent leaving because of timeline, they are leaving because they want everything they do to be private - apparently they do not understand what a social networking site is

and if numbers matter, facebook is deleting profiles because people are creating more than one profile, which is a violation of their terms of service, and kids are lying about their age, and their names

facebook is merely enforcing their policies, because legally, they have to - or they will be shut down
