Why does my computer disconnect from the internet when i i use my phones wifi?
I recently bough t a new phone from virgin mobile to replace my old crappy one, (it was a Awe if that helps) and i set it up. the phone itself works fine as does the internet connectiong to my pc (the connection is not hardwired it has a wifi reciever so it can get wifi) but when i try to use the internet on my phone and computer at the same time the internet connection cuts out. I dont mean the it slows down. it just signs out of the wifi channel and cant get back in. the phone and the internet on the phone works just fine while this happens but it prevents us from being able to use it. any advice?
i dont have a problem with multiple devices connecting to my wifi. my dads laptop, my ps3 my computer, my old phone. I have at and t u verse as my internet service provider . and we have a router .

What is your router? Without a route, just a modem from the ISP with wifi, you get only one IP address from the ISP, and thus only one device can use it at a time. To allow more than one device to use the Internet at the same time, you need a router (router with wifi).
You don't say what type of Internet you have, what modem, what router, etc...
