How should I talk to him?

I really like this guy in school. I've never really talked to him before but we follow each other on twitter, so i was thinking i could DM him. I have a good topic i can start off with, seeing as he moved here from england, i can ask him about that and i am from england too so i'm going to ask him stuff..
But i really need help on how to approach him in a friendly and not too pushy kind of way you know? please help me i really want to befriend him! thanks so much

Do you know what a computer game he likes? Pretend you like it too and ask him questions, because you think he's so quick and smart.
Computer game is just an example, but guys adore flattery and it wouldn't be pushy.
Ask him for help with your cell phone. Ask him to teach you how to transfer files from it to comp and back.
But never tell you like him. To get him on the hook he have to be always in doubt whether YOUR like him or not.
Use your imagination and actress talent.
