Dell Dimension 4550 IDE Recognition Problems?

Hello there.

My Dell Dimension 4550 is not recognising any of my IDE drives, whether it be hard-disk or CD-ROM.
I can't seem to figure out the problem, and it's not the jumpers because I have tried setting them to each different setting and nothing works.

Any ideas?

Scott,

You may want to replace the IDE cable to see if that could be the problem the IDE drives are not being seen. If it isn't the hard drive and cdrom or the IDE cable then the problem lies with the controller on the motherboard.
