windows vista internet connection?

windows vista internet connection?
When i set up an internet connection(wireless) it says I am connected to the internet, but when i go to the internet it says the internet connection is not working and I also can not add a printer or install a anti-virus protection. How can I connect to the internet correctly. This is a windows vista computer, sony vaio Laptop

Right click the on the network icon showing 2 computers on below right, click on network and sharing, you will see your computer, wireless connection and Internet icon, all these three should be in full color, if Internet is not showing color then its connected to network and not to internet, Now you will have to do is again right click below right on network icon, Diagnose and repair, it should repair if it can, if does not resolves by selecting its given options better connect lan cable from wireless and try again diagnose and repair. This will sort via internet being on from network properly. To add printer first install the software from the cd then when it asks for printer then connect it and check whether your printer and antivirus is supporting vista or not also. if not then you will get updates from that product websites. BOL.
