How often does google update?

I have made MAJOR changes to my site and think it will help me rank higher in google. Do they change constantly or is it a major periodic update? If so, how often do these updates occur?

I do not quite know, but i have heard from several people that they do a big update every like once a month. Hope this helps

I am a White hat SEO practitioner & I am observing Google I have found that Google updates Page rank & other similar stuffs every 2-3 months.It is not periodic.
