Really odd computer problems! Help!?
The thing is that my laptop is slow as well. Youtube takes long to buffer on 144p, and is still laggy. When I scan for viruses (AVG) nothing comes up (But the scan takes forever!) I have 1.8 GB avaible and 4.1 in use, which I think is not bad, but it still acts up! Minecraft won't work unless I'm in fullscreen, Minecraft is laggy (20-60 FPS). And countless other things! I have even reset this crap back to factory settings.

Notes:

Windows 8 DELL $500 Laptop
I uninstall things all the time
May help: I have kind of a lot of things hooked up to wifi.(But other devices work fine, and my laptop does not)
Got it for Christmas.

Programs include:
Bandicam, Java, Google Chrome, WinRAR and other programs that have Apple, Microsoft, Dell or Linux in it's name
EX.
Intel HD Graphics Driver
Intel Management Egine Components
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support
Dell Touchpad
Dell Update
Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistribute

I have no idea where the apple crap came from, but I used to have iTunes, so I don't know If I could undownload them or something.

It was even laggy when I reset it!

Someone please! I have written for hours for a reason! I really want my laptop to work again!

Any $500 laptop is not a gaming laptop, by any stretch...

Remove any unwanted programs, do a full virus scan and a full malware scan. If factory erstore still runs the same, then the laptop will always run that way...

Well.. your first problem is windows 8. Windows 8 is terrible. But I need to know how long you've had this computer, how it preformed at first or is this just how it normally is?

Get rid of windows 8 and get windows 7. Run a disc defrag witch you can do by searching "disc defrag" on your start menu. Download ccleaner also.

First off don't get rid of windows 8, it is a wonderful OS and actually has the best ram functioning of any OS made so far.

Uninstall the following programs..
ITunes
Bonjour
Apple mobile device support
Anything that is Apple related, iTunes includes several programs that won't Uninstall with iTunes.

Make sure you only have ONE anti virus software installed on your machine otherwise they will work against each other. You will also want to stay away from Norton or McAfee. They are resource hogs and aren't very affective these days.

Lastly try this. ...
Hit your windows button to see the tiles view don't click anything yet, type msconfig .exe and hit enter. When the utility opens you will see some check able boxes. Click the one that says "selective startup" and below that uncheck the box labeled "load startup items" then click ok and restart your computer. You should seea dramatic improvement and will begin to love your computer again.

Windows 8 is the operating system.

You mention that it is a Dell laptop - but not the make (Inspiron, Latitude, etc.) or the model (usually has a letter followed by some numbers).

Go to the start button, click on Computer/My Computer, right click on the background of the window that opens up and find out what the computer's make & model are.

You can also check the hardware diagnostics at http://www.dell.com/support/diagnostics/us/en/19/ to see what is going on inside the case....
