Snap.do is a malware/browser hijacker. I doubt it will go away that easy. Try the solution provided in the link below.

Sorry to burst your tiny bubble but I fail to see how deleting an executable program however malicious it is will remove an adware as nasty as snap.do. Adware distributor did all they could to protect the software from debugging and quick analysis. It configures Windows registry when settled on, so that this service and the pseudo search engines are loaded automatically when Windows starts. You might think it's gone but its not lol.

Hi, I had that in my browser toolbar and eliminated. You have to do several steps to remove that nasty PC application, as it is a software that is installed on the PC, there are more similar apps that do the same, all are eliminated in the same way, go to the link that is more below, that there will explain step by step how to solve that problem.

I hope this information is helpful.

If you have Google Chrome, here's what you do.

1. Download a program called "Revo Uninstaller Pro" it's only a trial version but in this case it gets the job done. http://www.revouninstallerpro.com/

2. Scan your system. It will find that annoying "Shopper Helper Engine" crap and list it. It may take a while but do a "full scan" and once it finds and highlights everything, including your computer, click on the "Select all" box, then click "Delete" it won't delete your files but it will delete the contamination, aka the virus.

3. Go into your Google settings, it should be three horizontal lines stacked on top of each other at the top right of your screen, near the address bar. In the settings you should find "On Startup" and under that it should have "Open a specific page or set pages" click the "Set Pages" it should be highlighted in blue. Once you open that, you'll see that sneaky bastard "Snap.do" hiding in there. Click the "X" next to it to kill the turd.

4. While in "Settings" scroll down to "Search" NOT "Search Settings", it should be the second one down from "Open a specific page or set pages" click "Manage Search Engines" in there you'll find another snap.do program called "Shopper Helper Engine" or something similar. Click the "X" to kill that turd.

5. Scan again to be on the safe side. Close your window and open it. If it shows your usual homepage you've cleaned your system of "Snap.do" and "Shopper Helper Engine"
