Does PS4 require internet connection?

People are saying PS4 does not require internet connection what do they mean?

Dose it mean you dont need an internet connection to play online?

No that means that you wont need an internet connection to play single player games and/or checkups every 24 hours.
Unlike the Xbox one.

It means you can play it offline without Internet like ps3/360 etc. you still need Internet connection to play online multiplayer. The reason they said that is cause you have to have an Internet connection to play the new Xbox.

how else do you think you can play online ? by magic ?

they mean that the ps4 doesnt need ot be conencted to the internet 24\7
nor does it need to phoen home every 24 hours to authenticate the games like the xbox one does

if you never connect the ps4 to the ineternet it will still work like a console is supposed to do

no the xbox one requires connection once every 24 hours else you cannot play any of your games even in single player.

ps4 has no such issues.
