Which Hosting Company Is The Best For Wordpress?

Please I am a blogger and not new to blogging or wordpress but I want to host my new blog by myself. I've searched for the best one online and many people seem to be recommending hostgator, bluehost, dreamhost and some others. On wordpress they recommended bluehost, hostgator, and some others but I just came across a post at http://www.digitalfaq.com/editorials/web...ig-pt1.htm just when I was almost deciding to signup for hostgator criticizing it and bluehost claiming one "EIG" company had bought it and their services are not as good as it used to be. So please I want to ask if you are using a self hosted wordpress blog, which web hosting service are you using and how good is it? Have you had any problem with their services? I need honest answers please. Thanks.

If you don't want to pay for web hossting, I would recommend http://www.hostwhistle.com since I believe you can install wordpress and host it for free.

As far as great paid hosting goes, I would avoid the "big guys" since they have a lot of loopholes in their privacy policies. I personally use NiViDeX, I've haven't had a minute of downtime so far and scripts like wordpress are easy to install and configure. http://www.nividex.com
