How do I get the little FB icon off of the main screen of my blackbery?

I downloaded the new BBM and as soon as I installed it all of a sudden the little fb icon with a 2 in front of it appeared where it normally tells you if you have a text, or a bmm, ect. But I disabled fb working with my messages so that I don't get notified everytime I have a fb notification, so there is nothing fb related in my inbox or anything like that. I also went onto my fb app and tried reading my last few messages, looked at my notifications, and the little thing will not go away! I also tried sending myself another fb message to see if the 2 would go to a 3, and it did not. What do I do???
I tried taking the battery out it did not go away

Do a battery pull so it will reset.

That littloe icon annoyed me for the longest because I have the fb app and it doesn't even give notifications so I dont see the point. But the icon does pop up when you upload a photo to fb sometimes.I dont get it, the fb app sucks!!

Try logging out and then sign back in.
- open the FB app
- push the BB menu button
- scroll to options
- sign out and then sign back in.

If that doesn't help and it's really annoying you...delete the app and re-install it.

Messages - Press the Menu key and select Show Folder

Open the Facebook Messages folder and read/delete the FB messages. The icon will go away.
