Is it odd or normal that my friend made a new Facebook since coming to a new country?

My friend just immigrated to canada and moved here from England. Anyways, I recently met her and she seems nice-she is 23. But she told me she made a new Facebook for her new life in canada. She wants to keep her old life in England. Is this peculiar?

It's normal. I have two different accounts for Social Media as well. You have to understand that she might have a thing from her past that haunts her if she's starting a new life.

It's only a little strange because both countries speak English. If would be less weird if the two accounts were in different languages.
But you can't blame a girl for wanting a fresh start.
