Facebook pages stop loading after being on chat?

Everytime I use facebook, it will work, but usually when I'm using chat, it will suddenly stop working. I click to go to another facebook page, but it just doesn't load. It stays on the page it frooze on. It's not technically freezing cause the mouse moves but nothing loads and I find myself having to close facebook and re-load it (sometimes it takes ages to load the website too
). Why is this?
I've already tried that. I think it's because this laptop is so old and slow.

It's not your problem. Try cleaning up your computer and browser. Also check your Internet connection to see if it works. If either method doesn't work, don't worry. Wait for awhile, and everything will be alright.
