Facebook guy?
I'm a member Facebook and to date, have not been charged a single penny to use it. If it's a completely free service, how the hell is Mark Zuckerberg (the guy who supposedly started this online phenomenon) so stinking rich?!!

To advertise on a website that is viewed by thousand/millions of people would cost alot of money. That is how I would think he makes his money.

I just went to the website and there is one for mc donalds, that would not of been cheap.

software licensing - they have created a unique platform that is easy to program and others are licensing the technology too. very clever, a simple php front end with all the complicated stuff taken care of by the facebook engine running on their servers. Just look at all the "apps" that others are writing for facebook platform.
You can read more on facebook under the developers sections.
