Who is trying to ban all guns?

Who is trying to ban all guns?
I always hear people complaining about ALL their guns are at risk of being taken away. I know about the current gun legislation's that were being debated about assault rifles and certain bullet clips and all, but I have not heard too many cries from people on either affiliation to ban them ALL. I looked it up and found about 4 non influential politicians say they wanted them all gone. But from what I see there isn't really that big of a following to remove them all, so who are all these people arguing against in their comments and posts on facebook giving reasons why all guns shouldn't be banned, I was never aware of a large enough group or legislation to even spark that argument, I feel like most of these people are fighting an invisible enemy.

I don't want to hear people use the slipper slope fallacy as an argument in saying that "first it is our assault riffles then, all of our guns, then our freedom!" I also have no intention of causing political turmoil in a yahoo post, so avoid ignorant sweeping statements calling all liberals/democrats retards or conservative/republicans dumb-ass's, because that is not productive by any means and is simply rude. What I am looking for is links or proof of an actual anti all gun proponent going on right now that these people are going against, or are these people truly fighting a war against an invisible enemy?

Please keep personal attacks and generalizations to yourself, either directed towards me or someone else please.
Also no Obama conspiracies or hate talk, this post is not in regard to the recent legislation that was attempted to be passed about assault rifles.

No one. No one is trying to take guns away either.

Not sure why this simple fact can not be comprehended.

I suspect it is an example of the right-wing inabillity to give up a talking point even when they are shown facts to the contrary.

There are still those who believe Obama is a muslim, who believe he is not an American citizen, and who believe that anything that doesn't make the left look like the anti-christ must be a lie.

It isn't about facts.

In the UK our government tricked us and taken all our guns you need a firearms licence and can only own a shotgun the can only hold two bullets in the chamber and sometimes a bolt action sniper rifle in the part of the UK I'm in(Scotland) there are around 560 people own a handgun and it's only a revolver semi automatic hand guns were banned after the 1996 Dunblane massacre and fully automatic assault rifles were banned after the 1987 hungerfurd massacre and they're thinking of taking it even further after the 2010 Cumbria shootings I'm guessing after the democrats ban assault rifles they'll keep going until it's the same as here that's just my guess

Reid, Pelosi, Feinstein, Bloomberg, Soros, Gifford, obama, Rockefeller, the United Nations...just to name a few.
BTW, if obama actually **is** a natural-born U.S. citizen, WHY has he not produced a believable birth certificate?
It seems to me that if someone questioned _my_ U.S. birth that it would be a simple matter for me to call the county courthouse records department in the city of my birth and get a certified copy of said certificate.
If I, a common citizen, can do that for about $5 then why can a man who is running to be POTUS not do the same, unless in truth he actually is (say it softly) Kenyan.

We don't know. All we know is that "common sense" proposals make no sense.
Assault rifles, being select-fire, are already highly regulated. Exactly one crime has ever been committed by a civilian with a legal assault rifle (in Ohio, over twenty years ago). Nobody's addressed the problem, because there isn't one.
Coinage of the term "assault weapon" was designed to obfuscate the motives of those who want further restrictions. For all we know, you yourself may think they're synonymous. An AR-15 semi-auto can put out a dozen rounds no faster than a Model 1892 Winchester lever action, so firepower and magazine restrictions don't seem to be the real goal, though they're often cited and part of recommended restrictions. There's some agenda there, but those wanting the restrictions aren't being open and honest about their goals, so there's little reason NOT to be cynical.
