help with spyware?
okay so I downloaded a VPN about 3 months ago and then I read it has a bad history and is possibly a spyware. it is called hotspot shield by anchor free. I unistalled it but there are still some programs. they are I think webpages. they have a google chrome icon and the one with weird geometrical shapes. I am really oblivious about computers so I am sorry in advance for such a stupid question.. I get extremely paranoid over stupid details so I can't just ignore them. please any help is appreciated. how do I remove them and make sure they leave nothing behind. there is also a file called hssdrv6 is taht bad it is related to system 32 so I think it is legit. thanks for any answer. your help is appreciated.

hotspot shield has a less than sterling reputation as being a true VPN.
I don't know about the file you refer to...do a bit more research if possible. For a decent VPN> Freelan is a free, open-source, multi-platform, peer-to-peer VPN software. "http://freelan.org/" Endorsed by Steve Gibson (https://www.grc.com/sn/sn-441.htm ) |
