Payumoney is meant for individuals who are not registered under any of the Indian govt acts. It is a free product that allows you to receive payments to your savings account.

It is actually a very good payment gateway service considering the fact that it is free and the documentation is minimal. In terms of security, it is on the same level as any other payment gateway i.e following PCI DSS 2.0 standards and their support team does reply within 48 hours.

If you are still against using Pay U Money, I suggest you can try CCAvenue as it is one of the most popular payment gateways in the country. Although, the basic plan does have an extremely high TDR.

Alternatively, if you are planning to build a website/ store from scratch using a web developer, you can also try wallet services in the country.

Below is a link of a blog post comparing some payment gateways in the country. It might come come use to you :

As a conclusion, I would say, there really isn't a good alternative available for payumoney at the moment for non-registered dealers such as you.

Hope this helps Smile
