How come Verizon Fios internet is laggy when more then one device is using the internet?

Like I have a PS3 and play online I do fine but then soon as someone else uses the internet on another device like a Ipod or laptop and etc while I'm playing it just turns to sh*t.
Its so irritating, is there anyway to fix this? Please help :/

When two devices are connected to one connection, that connection is shared. If you have slow Internet it will be slower with two or more devices. You need to get a bigger pipe, faster Internet.
