Cameron has been mocked for paying for social media advertising to get people to "like" him on facebook. Is this a sign of politics going into the digital age, or just a little bit sad?

thats different to actual friends.

he's wanting "likes" as more of a mail shot list than anything.

I'm sure he's bought his "friends" all his life.

It's both, and shows that the number of "Friends" or "followers" one has is not an accurate measurement of anything other than perhaps, who's being the stupidest with their money.

I certainly wouldn't vote for a politician who was buying friends/followers. If he feels that's a good use of his money, what do you think he's going to do with MY money?

rent a mate is not a bad idea, they tend to be good mates whilst you pay them.

Very sad.
People who have to buy friends have no real friends.

He needs to spend less time on image and more time on substance.

Instead of tweeting pics of himself on the phone ordering a pizza pretending to speaking to the Obama - he should be tweeting about what he's doing about the squeeze on the cost of living.....

What did he say to many tweets make? One of the very few sensible things he's said!
