Whereas I can get my E-mail my calendar wont open whats the basis for the problem. I have windows XP professio?

I'm sorry to hear that you're having this trouble. Are you using Internet Explorer to view Yahoo Mail? If so, this may be happening because you are using an outdated version of IE, which is causing Yahoo Mail to display in Basic Mail mode rather than full-featured mode, or are using IE's compatibility mode. Both of these modes limit some of the features of full-featured Yahoo Mail. I recommend taking a look at the help articles here for more information on switching back to the full featured version of Yahoo Mail:
