What's a good forum to join?

Im usually pretty bored and i like having conversations with people. The people on dating sites are usually pigs just trying to hook up. I figure forums have people united under one common interest and have pretty intelligent people just looking to share information. The problem with me is I don't have one common interest and Im not an expert in anything or a major fangirl of anything in paticular. i know a little about a lot of subjects just not enough to join a specific forum. Are there any well made, easy to use, friendly, general forums out there with a large user base? I don't want the same 3 people on all the same time, I would like it to be fairly active. I love netflix, and video games, and the outdoors and animals, and music, and books, and creative stuff. Im just not an expert or a die hard fan or talented in any way. Any Ideas?
