How to cope up with a situation of being cheated on?

My boyfriend and I have been in a relationship for 7 years and 4 months. We were both okay and doing fine. We had plans for the future and stuffs. Until I accidentally found out screenshots of facebook conversations between him and another girl on his phone. Yes, screenshots. There were "i love you", "i miss you" from the girl and casual conversations about their life. Same sweet messages i've been receiving from him like "super hug" and the like. But it's still flirting, right?

I messaged him on facebook about what i saw. I didnt ask him anything. I dont have to know more about it since it's very obvious. And then he replied that it was only a joke and it was just nothing. He even greeted me happy monthsary. I did not reply to him. I feel that he's making me stupid that i might even believe what he said.

It's been a week since I stopped talking to him. I always cry every night. I can't handle this anymore. I feel like my heart's gonna explode everytime i remember it. With this kind of situation, i thought it's better to not talk to him ever again. I tried to stop texting and calling him. But he always send me random text messages.

How can i cope up with this kind of situation? I feel so helpless.

No, with respect to the other reply but don't cheat on him the way he did. And for me, I would leave him if I saw such kind of these things. Cheating is Cheating, he said it was a joke ?! What kind of joke is this haha. Plus, you said it ! You are crying, you are not comfortable with this. Who cheat on you once he will cheat later. Anyway that's my opinion, I wouldnt stay with someone who will ever cheat on me. By the way, seems like you are afraid to move on.. But dont stand there like "okay nothin happened let's cope with it.."
