Am I being annoying? Do you think my friends annoyed?

I was talking to my friend over twitter. We are more of acquaintances than friends! Anyway, I don't know her well but I complimented her on how shes a great gymnast. and how shes soo pretty and nice. And she responded "thanks so are you!" Tbh I look up to her and I want to be an amazing gymnast like her. Later that week, I saw her at our gymnastics team party. I told her to follow me on twitter so i could direct message her instead of just talking where everyone can see it... And "she's like I will! You're in my notifications so I know your username." So after the party i posted pictures of it on instagram. she commented on my picture "thank u so much" cuz I said "with this amazing gymnast." Anyway, 3 days later she still didn't follow me and I noticed she'd been tweeting lol... So do u think she just forgot? I just tagged her again in my instagram picture and said "hey seriously follow me on twitter! I wanna dm you!" I don't wanna sound annoying but at the same time I wanna get to know her.
