How to make new friends? 10 points?

Hi all, I am an Italian girl, im 23 years old, and I'm transferring to reading in the uk. I move on alone, and would like to know a way to make friends with young english people to practice the language.
There are sites or groups on facebook where I can get in touch with young people residing in reading? Many thanks

Find someone who meets your criteria. Start with a conversation, then build into an event. After you talk about the event say something like "you should join me. I don't really know too many people yet so it would be nice if I got to go with someone i know." Then from there it can build into a friendship if they agree.
