Ban indoctrination of children - religion gone in a generation, and then we can get on with improving ourselves.

The interfaith movement is a great because it brings us all together but, I guess if people are unwilling to join that then let us unite on issues that don't include religion so that way we will get closer and, eventually get curious about the other.

I. Education: Students should be required to take a class on comparative religion in high school or it's equivalent. Such a class should focus on presenting the core teachings and history of major belief systems (as well as some minor ones) from a nonjudgmental and unbiased viewpoint. Racial tolerance and acceptance should be taught a very young age and expanded upon in high school through classes that educate students on the varying concepts of race and different racial issues in societies past and present. Ideally, such a class should be offered as a social studies elective instead of a required course.

II. Interfaith Dialogue: Interfaith dialogue should be encouraged by religious institutions and nonprofit organizations. Educational gatherings, such as classes and Q&A sessions should be offered by religious institutions to educate people about their beliefs. Nonbelievers should also be invited to attend, but not participate in, religious services held at a place of worship. Organizations should also exist to promote interfaith dialogue and cooperation in a respectful and neutral environment. In educational institutions, interfaith dialogue and/or cooperation could be encouraged by after-school clubs and extracurricular activities.

III. Politics and Government: Governments and politicians need to reaffirm the importance religious freedoms and establish protections that prevent the government, businesses, and individuals from infringing on other peoples' religious beliefs and practices. Religious and racial discrimination should also be discouraged and penalized under law. Politicians, especially conservatives, need to put less emphasis on their religious beliefs and focus more on tackling the issues at hand. If elected, a politician has to represent the people regardless of their heritage or beliefs and there is no room for religious or racial favoritism in government. Businesses should not be allowed to enforce religious beliefs and need to place greater focus on accommodating the religious beliefs of their customers, clients, and employees. Employers should not ask potential employees about their race, ethnicity, or religious beliefs during the hiring process.

IV. Media: Films and television shows need put less emphasis on religious and racial stereotypes. Many features rely too heavily on those stereotypes and fail to develop their characters as anything but a "black thug" or "Muslim terrorist". Taboos against showing certain races and religions in positive roles should be done away with, along with taboos against showing interracial and/or interfaith couples. Journalism needs to be less opinionated and news outlets should focus on eliminating bias from their reporting. Slanderous publications must be outlawed, but hateful and bigoted writings should simply be discouraged to ensure freedom of speech. Educational programming could also benefit greatly from better research.

V. Personal Effort: People need to be more open minded and study other belief systems on personal level, from an unbiased viewpoint. Religious people, especially Christians, should study their own teachings more thoroughly. People need to embrace their heritage, but not to the extent that it makes them feel superior to anyone else. People should never judge others for their race, ethnicity, or skin color. People should also try to draw their own conclusions as much as possible, instead of relying on others to shape their opinion.

Get rid of Chrsitianity!

Look at all the anti Jewish and anti Islamic nastiness posted by Christians on here!

ALL the other religions and atheists live in peace and are ONLY attacked by BAD Christians which causes all GOOD Christians to despair at the damage they do!

The self destruction of Christianity is underway and the only thing that can stop it is to abandon the terrible human emotions, seek to rediscover the idea of a loving god and act like it!
