Go to SpyFu (http://www.spyfu.com/) put in your keyword phrase and it will tell you the range of cost per click for the keyword (use the high end to be #1) and take the figure per day

Depends on how popular the search term is and how many clicks you get (Adwords is pay per click). You can set a maximum budget).

The ads you see in the sponsored results on Google are bidding on keywords on Google AdWords (their PPC platform). The price you bid depends on a range of factors including relevance and competitiveness. This could be anything from £0.01 to £15.00 per click.

The key is to develop a highly targeted PPC campaign formed with tightly grouped keywords within each ad group to ensure throughout your campaign, it is highly relevant to the searcher and the search term used. The more relevant your campaign is, the lower CPC (cost per click) you will pay and the higher position your ad will appear in the sponsored results. This being measured and determined by an internal formula Google calls Quality Score.

There are a number of web based tools that will predict your average CPC for keywords on Google AdWords but truth is, none of them are accurate.

Let me know if you would like any further information.

Yeah you must be new!

it depend on the keyword.

I wouldn't go around asking Yahoo Answer "you will just get a buch of affiliate links, and people trying to pitch you on their make money scheme", i would create an adword account, and see what the suggested bid is.

but here the rub. If you other to pay 1.00, and someone else offers to pay 1.50 they will take your top spot unless you are willing to pay 1.51. So you bid on the spots like an auction.

Sound stupid and it is.

I can give you a little Secret a lot of SEO people won't, and probably don't know.

find number 3-4 site on google that ranks for that term. find out who own the site "using whois". Call them and offer to Buy ad space. flat rate "not based on click, impression etc'. Tell them to give you one of their low performing Adsense units, and you will pay 20% more then
Google average payout for that spot on a consistent monthly bais "require proof of earnings". Create a super attention grabbing ad "not limited by googles standards" and watch the clicks come in, and you make money.

You will get more traffic for less money

The amount will depend on the keyword and also the bidding of the competition. Check out the google keyword tool, search your keyword and you will see the Average CPC. That will give you a rough idea.
