new cvs Sylvania Netbook shows good connection, but cannot access internet?

No, it says good WiFi connection, not Internet connection.

It means you got to first-base, but cannot go onto homeplate, if you understand baseball.

Or soccer... You got to midfield, but did not score a goal.

Just because WiFi is connected does not mean that connection is connected to the Internet.
