google chrome vs internet explorer 8?

i want to download a new internet site because my internet is slow.
my computer is microsoft, so which one is better (in terms of faster), google chrome or internet explorer 8?

google chrome would be way faster, it is very fast in everything it does and takes up a lot less memory than most every internet browser out there. Also, because google chrome is so new it has a bit of a security incentive as well, not many people know how to get viruses or anything on your computer if you are using google chrome.

Google Chrome is way faster than IE8, but Firefox 3 is definitely the way to go if you want speed. Plus, Firefox is almost completely customizable, with all the themes and tools and such.
