Why is it hard to get over this break up? how can i do it n move on?

My boyfriend of almost 1yr. which by the way in like 10 day woulve been my 1yr anniversary. broke up with me.it was at first mutual and the. He said he just wanted space not to break up.tl yesterday that he text me he wants to go on his own,but to remain friends.it hurts because i met his parents,i would sleep over his house. We had all kinds of pics of eachother on fb. my phone. i want to move on and be happy. i statred by unfriending him from fb. what else can i do. to stop myself from randomy crying.please help me

do not have any contact with him and you will heal faster. delete all his info (email, phone, FB, etc). don't reply to any texts, calls, emails, etc. sorry but it's apparent to me that he has someone else in his life

It is normal to cry if you really cared about someone. Don't let it consume you but don't hold it in either. Give yourself time and focus on improving yourself and overtime the pain will go away. I know that is a standard response but there is nothing else you can really do. Plus you have to look at it as, it is better for it to end now if it was not meant to be then 5 or 10 years down the road when you are more connected to that person. I am going through the same thing with my (ex)gf of 2.5 years right now. It hurts soo bad because I am still in love with her and i know she is still in love with me, but due to circumstances she feels like she can't be in a relationship. But I know overtime she will come back if she really does love me. Personally I feel like it is the hardest thing in the world to let go of someone you love.
