Samsung Galaxy S4 Microphone icon mising?

I have had my phone for like 8 days and all is good. Something happened. Either an update or I pressed something and now my little microphone icon is missing from my keypad. I press and hold that button to see if it shows up but everything else shows up in options but a microphone. I have goggled this problem and tried all solutions I could find. Even downloaded the Google keyboard app and it doesn't even have a microphone option.
I was able to fix this on my own. After thinking, I looked under application manager in settings and slid over to the disabled apps. Google Search was disabled and since Google text / speech options are built in, this was most likely the cause. I clicked it, turned it on and now the icon is back. WOOT!

The microphone being on the keyboard depends on what keyboard layout the app's programmer has put in their app. If the icon isn't in the keyboard, it will most likely be on the right side of whatever box you are typing in. The button depends app-to-app. For example, my Facebook app has the key in the keyboard, yet Google Chrome has it in the search bar itself. Hope this helps!
