FB status problem: how to move my "Best friend" back to "Friends" on Facebook?

What shall I do when I want to change friends status on Facebook from "best friends" to just "friends"? I am bisexual and I just found out that I have a homophobic best friend. However, we have been friends in real life for more than 15 years, and I dot wanna throw that away because otherwise she is OK (even if it is not what it used to be). I just don´t want her to see some of my posts anymore, but I don´t wanna put her in my "Acquaintances", because she is more than that. Maybe I will eventually end our friendship one day, but now it´s not the time. This might be a first step, however. The problem is that the options on Facebook don´t allow me to put her back to the nomal Friends. It just offers me the "add to acquaintances" option. What shall I do? Thank you.

When you open your friends profile you must be able to see "friends" button on their cover photo. Click on it and unmark "close friends". I think thats what you're asking for. If not then im sorry that i couldnt understand the question :C
