There are numerous ways to get more traffic to your website. SEO, answering questions (like this one), commenting on popular blogs, starting your own blog, PPC etc...

But if you are already getting a lot of traffic and few sign-ups you should probably consider looking into conversion optimization.

Here are a few steps to take:

Set-up Google Analytics and start tracking where your traffic is coming from. Find the most popular landing pages (probably your home page, but may not be) these are the pages you need to concentrate on.

How high is your bounce rate on these pages? A high bounce rate suggests that you need to improve your landing pages whereas a low bounce rate might mean that your real issue is some other page (maybe your sign-up page)

Also find any pages with high exit rates, this will give you another clue as to which pages need work.

Other than that, think about how to entice people to sign up.

If you are asking for money to sign up you will need to do something to build up some credibility. Either way though, it may be best to start by just trying to get an email address.

Ask yourself why should a user sign up for whatever you are offering? Make the benefits clear.

If you can get some people to sign up with just an email address you can try to build some trust and credibility before you worry too much about getting them to become full members (paid or otherwise).

Hope that gives you some ideas what direction to go in.

Focus on traffic is great. But you must need to optimize more on the existing traffic. Analyze current site and user behavior and optimize as per that. The bellow video can be a good explanatory. All the best.
