So I recently sold a book on ebay for my littlr brother and was wondering when I will get paid.. I sold the book yesterday so should I mail the book today? Help! Is the first time selling in that website

Do not ship until you have been notified of payment. You can send an invoice to the buyer if you wish. If you did not specifically state in your listing when you expect to be paid the buyer might decided to take their sweet time about it.

As a new seller you may be subject to the 21 day hold on your money at PayPal.
