Problems with Google chrome?

I have this issue with Google Chrome where every couple weeks, it stops working. It refuses to navigate to any page. After a few days or so it'll start up again, but then in a couple weeks, it'll do the same thing all over again. It's done this about three times now.

Internet Explorer and Firefox still work. Nothing wrong with the internet connection. Tried all the basics, uninstall/reinstall. Cleared browser history. Does anybody have an idea what this might be and how I could fix it permanently? It's a shame because I generally enjoy the Chrome browser more than anything.

You will be use CCleaner software and reinstall your chrome browser . . .
