how to retrieve bookmarks from computer windows.old?

I refreshed my windows 8 pc re installed google chrome, and I can find my bookmarks. I searched by computer and found them when I open it in internet its a bunch of words and html how do I retrieve my bookmarks?

normally, you are supposed to Export them to an HTML file in Chrome. but in your case, you would need the User Folders, or the Program Files folder (NOT the Windows.OLD folder):
