How can I change the internet Network on pubic setting to private.?

The computer can't connect to the internet because is set at pubic and am using it at home

Delete that network profile and create a new one... How you delete varies a bit by which version of Windows you have. In Vista, go to network and sharing center, and "customize" the existing connection, and change it to private (home) or delete it and create a new connection. (connect to a network)
