Usually normal hackers won't hack into the google's server to get your password. Because they are not that bored and have not such a good technique. The ways they usually use are to embed trojans (often from USB or emails) in your computer and record your act on keyboard via hook program. Another way is that they send you a fake email which seems to be a website you usually logged in. So when you are typing, you are actually typing your password in his server. Now I think you can understand how to do. Changing your password is useless if your computer is full of trojans or virus. Can't you just install some security softwares? And never try to open the unknown mails or flashdrivers.The precautions are the most important.

Use two different browsers.
I use Comodo Ice Dragon web browser for banking only.
For email I use an email program called Thunder Bird. This way neither one comes in contact with my regular browser.
I also use a program called "Sandboxie" to open my email program and browsers so if a virus tries to get into my computer, it gets deleted once I close thes programs.
Also for my email I have it set up to send me a verification code to my cell phone before I can open it, beside my password.
Zhuang is correct: if you have keylogging malware in your computer it will steal your passwords etc.
For this I use two programs;
"Key scrambler" > encrypts key strokes
"Zemana Antilogger" prevents screen capture, copy/paste, microphone/ camera take over etc.
