i5 processor question?
I'm thinking about purchasing a laptop with an i5-4200U processor. Just wondering if this is a good processor for general internet and light gaming (facebook games). Any information is truly appreciated and thank you.

That is slightly above what you need for your purposes. You could run will games like Battlefield, CoD with that processor. If you want something cheaper, get an i3, but yes, that is fine for years before its too slow.

in the below link you can compare all kind of cpu with each other
http://cpuboss.com/ u series processor are low end and come with low brightness, low frequency ,less core, less catch(it used for increase process speed ) ,more battery time. they work great for web browsing watching movie and music and also enough to work with Photoshop , autocad , 3Dmax and mid rang games. qm or qh series are high end and really monster, they do everything fast and great. but, in all case you need a separate GPU if you wanna to use it for game like "NFS rivals" not for facebook game |

Its plenty fast for general internet and facebook games, but as a general processor, its a bit slow. Try to go with the i5 4200M if you can since it is around the same price range and is much faster than the i5 4200U. If not, then the 4200U will suit your purposes just fine.
