Do cell phones have IP addresses?
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2. Say I'm using the internet without being connected to Wifi. Walking around, in the car, etc. Does it have an IP address? Does the IP address on the phone change often?

Say I log onto a forum that can view IPs. Will it be different each time, probably?

Probably cell phones do have an IP address, but usually they are quite secretive about it and won't tell you if you ask.

Every device connected to the Internet has unique IP address. To view your device's IP address, visit http://www.whatismyip.com/

Yes it always has an IP. Its completely controlled by your carrier so there isnt anything you can do on your side, but they always know they IP and what person that is assigned to.

If it is connected to the internet, it must have an internet address. Probably IPv4 though maybe IPv6.

I believe phones commonly use PPP which gets a different address each time they connect. I.e. if you disconnect from the internet, go out of cell range, etc. then you won't get the same one next time. But I think it should keep the same address for one continuous session, maybe even if you move from one cell to another. So if you go to sites that show your ip, they will all show the same one until you disconnect.
You could always try it and check for yourself.

On Wifi, you'd get a totally different ip address issued by a different ISP or organization, or your home router.

Any device that accesses the Internet has an IP address. It doesn't matter how the Internet is accessed. The IP address will change frequently as you move around.
