Question about ubiquiti airmax nanobridge m5 25dbi?
I have internet access in my house through an ethernet cable coming from a modem router. my other house is about 6-7 kilometers away ( this distance is the straight line from house A to house B ). house B doesn't have internet access and i want to have it there.
Is the mentioned device capable of working as an access point where i plug in the ethernet cable in house A and send a strong signal to house B ? do i have to buy two of those ? i have a tp-link tl-841N router that i used as an access point , can i use it in house B to receive the signal instead of buying two nanobridges ? thanks . You will need 2 of them, bridge them together over the distance. Reviews online show that they have been reliable up to 10 miles, you are asking about 4 mile distance. The reason you need 2 is because although one can broadcast that distance, the signals reaching back have no way to be amplified in power enough to get back to the original station. Be sure you use top of the line cable.
Keep in mind that this configuration will require expert tweaking and alignment skills. Research online on how to point them towards eachother, as well as the frequency and power that is needed to make the optimal connection. You can find calculators to do most of the work for you. Ads |
