DeviantArt, too many people?

So I searched all over deviantart for help, but nothing has come up.

The problem is simple:

I made an emoticon of Elsa and Ana hugging (from frozen)
and everyone keeps using it. Which is awesome.
BUT
I keep getting 800-1,000 mentions a day!
I'm tired of having to delete each message.

How do I stop seeing each person who uses this emoticon?

You can disable mentions. Hover over the bar on the top where your username is and click "Settings." On the left side of the page, click on the section called "General." Scroll all the way down to the bottom where it says "Miscellaneous Settings," and check the box that says "disable message center notifications for mentions."
