how is the link address to a website masked by click here?

When we go through emails or blogs or websites, we come across the instruction Click Here for details. When we click, we are taken to a website. How is this done by the programmer? I would like to use the technique in my website which is under construction

You can very easily add links to other pages on your own site or someone else's site. The links can be added to Images and text. It's easier to see it demonstrated rather than explained in words. Basically, you just add the URL of the intended link destination in the relevant box when adding the image or highlight the text, click the "add link" icon on your WordPress dashboard and add the URL there.
