Best attention getter for a speech on the effects of Media on society?
Hi guys so I am doing a speech on media's effect on society, specifically teenagers. I want to have a unique attention getter, not a quote, statisitic, sotry or ancedote or anything like that. I was thinking of doing a logo quiz, survey or something like that does anyone have any ideas? Here is my thesis statement.

"Aldous Huxley's novel Brave New World accurately projects our society today, specifically using one idea. I believe teens are easily persuaded to buy popular products because the companies that create them use media such as commercials, advertisements in magazines, and social networking sites to appeal to our emotional needs."

couple of ideas i've used (and heard) during speech openings...

"Sex, bumping uglies, doing the nasty, the horizontal mamba, banging. Now that I have your attention, I am (insert name here) and i'm here to talk to you about the effect that media has on society, especially you, teenagers"

"Good morning, who here watches the discovery channel, show of hands. Ok now, who can tell me how much a polar bear weighs? Enough to break the ice. How yall doing, i'm (insert name here) and i'm here to talk to you...."

"Good morning, we have two very special guests for you today, Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus are going to be here this morning, actually they arent, but now that i have your attention, i'm (insert name here) and i'm here to talk to you today about..."

At the beginning, send everyone in the audience a text message that says "pay attention to Amy".
