Newby Question About Facebook?!?! HELP?!?!?

Hi,
So I was wondering if I sent a friend request, and someone got it and went online and clicked on the little red "1" over the friend section of your notifications and they clicked on it, saw the request, didn't click "ignore" or "accept" and just left it and went to another page, would it enventually count as an "ignore" or not? Plus, how would you know that someone left or "ignored" your request?

Nope you wouldn't be ignoring the request unless you click ignore. And Sadly I don't think you would know if someone ignored your request you would only know if they accepted it

if you don't answer the request. it doesn't count that they accepted you and you wont know and the request just sits with them until responded to

you can't tell if someone ignored your request though.. only if they accepted.
