How do you help a person?

Well I met this person on Twitter. She had depression and she just can't really trust people. She's 16 and she'd been through a lot. She's in a foste home now but she couldn't trust them. Time after time she wants to suicide. I just want some advice to what to say to her

Get your daughter to offer the person oral sex.

The best thing you can do for a person like this is something you've already done. You've befriended her. Most suicidal activitiy is the product of deep seeded depression and lonliness. It's the feeling of, "my life is nothing, no one will ever notice me and it will never get better!" You've already shattered that because of your friendship

In addition to your friendship, some things to try are to optimistically focus on the future in her life and to always compliment her qualities. Edification and some life perspect do wonders for a hopeless person. If you'd like more help please go to suicidepreventionlifeline.org.

Please know that there are people who can and will help you with what you are going through. You may want to consider talking with a counselor at a hotline. There are many hotlines that are 24/7 and will work with you and your situation like yours. Some even have email and/or chat if you would prefer. If your friend would be willing, feel free to invite her to call a hotline directly so that she could speak with a trained counselor 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
